Hi! Iâm Aleksandar Kajmakoski (they/them). I am a provisionally licensed psychotherapist at Roamers Therapy under the supervision of Shaysa Villa MSW, LCSW. Our bodies tell the stories of our livesâthey hold onto all the pieces we have collected from the world, others, and ourselves. Each experience and interaction contributes uniquely to who we are, shaping our nervous systems, emotional responses, behaviors, and thoughts. And while we continually craft our ever-evolving lives, some of these pieces may not fit together the way we want them to. My goal as your therapist is to support your journey towards yourself and healing.
As a somatic psychotherapist, I center you as the expert on your own life and work with you to grow your understanding of yourself and your world through trauma. My therapeutic approach is interactive, balancing direct feedback with curiosity and compassion. It is also integrativeâI utilize the psychodynamic method, Somatic Experiencing (SE), CBT, and DBT.
As a queer, bicultural, and bilingual therapist that has lived and worked in the United States and abroad for much of my life, I understand how difficult it can be to show up as your authentic self. I am here to help alleviate some of the pressures you face so that you can fully embrace and express yourself in our therapeutic journey together.
