About
Maya Angelou once said, "my mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style." This is my hope for all clients and supervisees that enter the clinical relationship. As an Army Veteran, I understand situations can place a damper on our compassion, humor, and style but this does not have to be the new norm. Using an integrative approach, I focus on personal, psychological, and spiritual growth. I strive to assist clients with developing or regaining the power to shape their stories as a partner on their journey.
A background in inpatient mental health affords me the ability to work with all ages. I enjoy working with clients managing emotional disorders and difficulty with changes due to life’s challenges. When working with clients I provide research-based interventions and strategies tailored for the individual. After all, we are all unique.
Furthermore, my foundation is in Pastoral Clinical Mental Health Counseling; thus, I welcome the integration of a client’s spiritual perspective (whether present or absent) within the therapeutic process. While some may be apprehensive about this background, I use this education to facilitate an inclusive therapeutic relationship. Pronouns: she/her/ hers
