Hi! I'm Vanessa, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I'm a first-generation immigrant based in San Diego, CA. Originally from Southeast Asia, I've worked and lived in Singapore, Taiwan, and Buffalo, NY. I love cooking, board game nights, heated blankets, and playing fetch with my dog! I typically work with teenagers, couples, and young adults. I have been practicing since 2015 and my areas of focus are relationships - familial, romantic, platonic. I believe our core relationships are foundational to the self and inform the ways in which we make the life decisions we do and choose the people we choose. I love the storytelling of my clients - there's so much to be learned from the life experiences that we have, the minute details that stick with us after all these years, and the takeaways from each life circumstance. Throughout our time together, I'm going to be real with you and I hope you will be with me too. Think of me like a teammate, fostering a supportive space for you to feel open to tapping into things that may feel difficult to tackle alone. We feel what we feel, and I will honor that.
